Apple explained in early-March that you can't technically set Spotify and other music services as the default music player that Siri uses.
You can still play Spotify music using those commands in Siri, but in iOS 14.5, you might not have to say "on Spotify" at all anymore. That integration between Spotify and the iPhone's virtual assistant made it possible to say things like "Play my liked songs on Spotify" and "Play on Spotify." Spotify even favored its own Voice assistant - which just got " Hey Spotify" hands-free capabilities in April 2021 - until iOS 13 when Siri could finally play Spotify music for Spotify users.
(I can see album, year, artwork, etc in MusicBee, but like to keep my library easy to manage via the OS or other programs,too.It's no secret that Apple and Spotify haven't exactly gotten along in the past, but things are looking better than ever in iOS 14.5.įor years, Spotify's platform felt very disconnected from the iPhone, mostly because of Siri incompatibility. I do not let MusicBee organize my Audiobooks, as it seemed to difficult to set up the way I like.įor music, I let MusicBee organize and it was easy enough because I just use standard "Artist" folders just removed the "album" from the folder creation template because I don't like album subfolders. You can place the portable in a main media folder so it keeps all settings when run. I use MusicBee (portable version / setup) to browse music and other audio (audiobooks, etc.) exe to avoid writing in OTHER people's registries) I don't like to run LiberKey or PortApps in the background and I don't care if they write to the registry and I don't carry my settings with me if I copy my "Portables" folder to use on another machine. although I only use LiberKey and PortApps as quick updaters, and I run most of the apps from their native.
For fast playback I have AIMP set as default player.
